Distinguished Young Alum Award

The Distinguished Young Alum Award recognizes individuals who have graduated in the past 15 years, distinguished themselves in their vocation, and demonstrated concern for and service to their community. The award also seeks to recognize continuous dedication to and support of Randolph College.

  • Brittany Dickey van Staalduinen ’10, OB/GYN
  • Priyanka Uprety ’10,  Technical Director, Clinical Microbiology, Quest Diagnostics
  • Youssef Elkei ’13, Duty Officer, White House Situation Room (West Wing) – Washington DC  

The 2024 Distinguished Young Alum Award will be presented during Alumnae and Alumni Leadership Council and Homecoming, Friday, September 13, 2024.

The maximum number of young alumni awards presented will be three, to alumni who graduated in the last 15 years and who are under the age of 40 by January 1 of the award presentation. This award is not presented posthumously.

Members of the Awards Committee, as well as members of the Alumni Association Board of Directors and their immediate family members, are not eligible to be selected or receive the award during their period of service.

Individuals who accept the award commit to attend the awards event, barring an unforeseeable and extraordinary circumstance. All alums are urged to send suggestions for candidates to the Office of Alumnae and Alumni. Candidates’ nominations, which are confidential, will be kept for five years, and will be considered each year for up to five years.
